The Beam

In 2097, the world has flooded and the omnipresent Beam network rules what remains of the North American Union. Citizens may choose to join the Enterprise party (where the government stays out of your way, leaving you free to sink or swim or Directorate, where all are equally mediocre. Lives are enhanced by A.I. and bodies are enhanced by abundant add-ons while nanobots monitor and support those wealthy enough to afford them. But new powers are rising as emergent technology blooms from an unknown source, and a tipping point threatens to shatter peace and throw the nation into chaos.
